Keep blowing fuses on my amp and subwoofer?
I have a single 4 ohm Boston Acoustics g5 10 "subwoofer connected to an Alpine PDX1.6. My My subwoofer is 450 RMS 600 RMS amp throws at 2 ohms and 4 ohms. Whether 2 or 4 ohms, it puts out the same voltage, so it is not. My amplifier has been tuned by a professional. My wiring is it the right size INFACT. All is well secured floor, etc. So when I get subwoofer why I keep blowing fuse? Sometimes it's in my times in my amp for your subwoofer. Im getting out because these fuses pisssed cost about five dollars for two people.
www.12volt.com check the fuses from the power amplifier to see how much u need. Fuses may be too low. coil fuses now jumping on the G5? I recheck polarity and wiring. I had a similar problem with my speaker wiring and re-install the junction box and the sub stopped blowing fuses. Some wires were leaking. I love Boston thos fuse holders. They are in fact the correct amt to the voice coil to hear what the stock standard should work. My guess is a wiring problem. likely a remote control wire is grounded or one of your speaker wires touching down or across, or perhaps out of phase.
